Brightshard (Bronzemen ruins)
Written on the cliff side of the vale, etched into the rough rock are ancient Bronzeman runes that spell out “Brightshard” facing the Graymist Plateau 1.5 km away. These are obscured, and seem to have been purposefully defaced and unrecognizable now.
There is a deep Ring of Bronze encircling this plateau. When Yaran’s Vale was being “cleansed” of the salting from Elancil in the Sea-King/Bronzemen war, the Druids of Pranin cleansed this area, and placed upon it a great spell that would literally make it undetectable to the Lightbringers. They did not understand the Gray Mist that covered a large part of it, but it was a source of power for them to build on with the Anima Fount they found as well. Non-druids saw the plateau as a crumbling rock pile that had no resources and was nothing but dangerous and worthless. This continues to work to present day, though the magic seems to be failing. Every now and then, a traveler will bring word of the place in a difference light, but those that return see and experience only the glamour laid upon it by the druids. Over time a few earthquakes have temporarily made the anima fount unsteady, revealing the entire plateau to a few as they pass by. Most of those get drawn in and are never seen again.
