Trail Doves (messengers of Dunstrand)
The Trail Doves are a proper chartered business within the Institutions of Dunstrand. They are a messenger service. They can deliver anywhere there is a rookery of House Malor or Trail Dove rookery. They encourage the use of the public education system – The Linscaeld in Dunstrand, and Waurstweigs within the Riverdans. The communications not for House Malor use white doves – it is known that intercepting these is done at peril. The Trail Doves operate both avian and human messengers – the human messengers are dressed in pure white cloaks and breeches – another sign they are to be accosted at your peril. The partnership with House Malor is known to invoke a clause of support for them to track down those that interfere with the messengers, regardless of species.
Old Tradition: The Trail Doves are an associated business of House Malor in Dunstrand. They breed the pigeons and doves used for messages by the order, noble families and merchant cartels in Dunstrand. They have only been around since about CY 8700s – having once only been a sub order within House Malor but are now operating for outside businesses as well.
Working to be Trusted: Their services are suspect, as many see it as just a way for House Malor to get information without working for it.
