CY 590; A New Sun – Coming of the Light Bringers: Deserted by their new gods, and with other’s power waning, and most of the other races far from the frontiers, the humans of Helca seek more aid. Again the magi and those raised by other priests, used to divine powers of men combine their forces. A calling is made into the gulfs – this time with the aid of the green church (which had become organized specifically for this project). From the heart of the sun comes a message – ‘The Light is Coming to Banish the Dark’. On the first of the new year, as the sun rises, it seems to shrug off a piece of itself, a flaming trail in the sky carves morning from night and the Light Bringers descend from the heavens.
Demigods, celestials, and the Lords of Darkness each tested it, the 3 dark gods were repulsed by its power. It was said this caused wounds so terrible it is the reason they were not able to follow up with their minions’ attacks against the Blood of Saemon. Magi also braved its aura and perished for it; nothing could touch the cord into the sky.
After three days, it slowly vanished.
It would take years to realize though, what entities had died trying to discover its source or understand its power. Over the thousands of years, a few isolated places belonging to a magus have been found nearly undefended, with notes and logs on the phenomenon. It is thought that these died seeking its power.
A dragon was seen to follow it up, circling it until the beast was just a shadow passing in front of it dozens of miles away.
