ALL KNOWLEDGE OF ZORAS IS HIDDEN
Zoras The Despoiler was the original leader of the conclave that was to become the Lich Lords of Dundaria. He was a magi by station, and a noble, and a seeker of forbidden knowledge. His exact fate is unknown. He is said to be the one who lead the ritual ceremony that created the Fangedfrost. The other Lich Lords believed him to be dead, killed by them when the cabal added a new young magi named Nolam Kaaldaes. What is not known was that Zoras took the place of Nolam, allowing the others of the cabal to believe him dead. He manipulated the cabal from that point out as its junior member. He is also the one who introduced the knowledge that would become Shatterings in CY 5603 AND a ritual that enhanced The Cold Bargain for all their minions (he used his own Essence!). The reason the Spirit Wind of the Davrosian Order was able to stop them was that in CY 5615 the cabal encountered and awakened the ancient remains of the Ur-Ducateon in the far north. In the battle between them, Zoras/Nolam was trapped in a collapse of a massive tunnel. It would not kill him, so they used the last of their power to set upon the stone a constant grind. His brain, his will, his body was constantly ground into pulp and he could not reform. So was his fate for thousands of years. So powerful was the earth magic, the others could not defeat it. Believing it to only be the youngest and weakest of them, they turned their backs on retrieving him. To this day, the effect goes on, trapped forever in grueling pain and misery.Set in Grand Duchy of Dunstrand in the Steel Realms of the [Fantasy] Steel Realms, as a Living World storyline.
Death of Zoras: CY 9168 > When Zoras The Despoiler died, half the ghouls soldiers of the Crystal Riders of Thedrosse were “loosed” from their bonds of The Cold Bargain. They killed many, but Theodrose himself and his riders tracked and killed every last one and their progeny with other orders of knights and the Chain Brothers of the north. Elsewhere, about 10% of the armies of the Lich Lords were lost when these fetters were cut.
