GM PREP for The Convergence – work for Killing Mendollin.

Previous emphasis on more and more sightings of Orrish raiding bands in main campaign and across the heartlands of the Steel Realms!

Participating Players/Characters

As it stands (AS OF 8-1-2024), 5 players and one of those we shouldn’t count on (Rocky’s priority is getting hours for work). Now I’m going to try not to stay up all night figuring this out. If it’s possible or not to do it with four characters. That is the same for both the main task/target and minor. I will Plan on 4 characters. The secondary target might not be the campaign characters, depending on their status on discord. I don’t want to contrive because I don’t want you to feel like you don’t have agency. If you made decisions, those decisions should stick. You wouldn’t know that this encounter is coming in the main campaign.

The discord server for Dunstrand Rising will have an accelerated timeline to ensure the point at which the convergence (‘convergence’ is now the term everyone should use for the “hunt for Mendollin” encounter) will occur. This means you need to check EVERY day and respond as swiftly as possible.

Clean Up Mendollin PC Reference

I have moved as much of the main Mendollin mentions in the old Annals in google docs and old site backups onto the web site (short of spending days on small mentions and clips from old documents). Mendollins’ character file is on the web site, but I have removed a lot of it temporarily until after this encounter.

Complete the story arc: Bladden Silver Mine.
– Silver Stacks and others influence Baron to clandestinely give constrol of the Bladden Silver Mine to Sidrus Mell. This will be through the veneer contest and “the goodwill of the baron”. Agents of Sidrus are smuggling drugs under cover of a first annual celebration. Drugs are to go to contestants who will sign over their shares to Sidrus Mell. Coran Markle, the mayor and others are in on it. The Baron’s herald is not. In a freak set or perfect storm circumstances, Huff, Jesse, and Athena unknowingly collaborate to foil this and Huff is the sole winner of all contests. The Baron’s herald will enforce it. The logging interests and land management will be influenced by trade interests and Sidrus Mell, Aaron Mokar, and Coran Markle; opposite them are Josie, The Gallants, and the Druids of Prannin Moorswood.

Goodwill Goblin Hunting takes place in late January CY 9169 by the The Profoundly Irregulars mercenary band!
