Sidrus Mell of County Faer is an enigmatic character. He is registered as a merchant for Tolmans Guides.(SM) is an enigmatic figure who seems to be taking advantage of the war situation to even further destabilize the area. Pitting sides of the trade interests, local officials, smugglers, and any faction he can involve, using all manner of small and insidious means – false notes, false hints, rumors, even leading to confrontations in some cases. It’s all small but has been gaining in its amount and impact over time. Whoever this is, they seem bent on disturbing both the legal and illegal factions of the barony, sewing chaos. Only a couple people (the heads of the trade factions) suspect there is some influence at play, but are powerless to stop it currently. They suspect an agent of Gwinn.
The vast majority of work he does is by animal messenger and parcel/runner – he tries not to be in physical contact with any agents. When he does, he always wears a disguise, prompting there to be many descriptions of Sidrus.
He has connections in the Mud Vipers of Richfield.
Motivations
SM sought to openly foster the trade war and destabilize the area – drawing off the baron’s resources and improving Gwinn’s opportunities to take Torrelson’s Ford.
