Mapping The Black Shore along Crestwold

! This scenario is part of the continuing Trade Disputes of Crestwold > A series of Events in the Trade Disputes of Crestwold.

With the recent seismic activity and evidence of changing politics and trade, the Baron of Crestwold has expressed a desire to have a survey done of the Black Shore as it runs through the Barony of Crestwold. A few casual mappers have submitted paperwork to perform the survey, but all have vanished and were never heard from again. The Sand Hermit, a dweller along The Black Shore for half a decade, has also vanished from all mention. He sometimes warned travelers of threats as they passed through. The Black Shore is known to be dangerous, but one of the expeditions was a full half dozen surveyors and teamsters. Even the normal bandits of the area would know not to impinge on this work – it actually makes the area safer, even for them! Given all that’s happened locally between Crestwold and Lilymarch baronies, it seems that the trouble is continuing… and possibly even escalating. Rumors abound that local merchants and even House Malor, has lost patience with the baron and is forcing him to solve the mystery and update the land maps of the shoreline. And so, the herald of the baron of Crestwold begins to seek more capable surveyors and an escort for them. The word goes out… will you answer?

ADVENTURE PRINCIPAL: EASY TO SCALE

Do not let strict campaign or challenge level dictate your use of adventures. Both the story and play and PC capability should be able to be modified to support most measures of adventure requirements. A good Game Master can generally use the Incarna principles, system & tools to support them in telling their story with whatever characters and circumstances the Players have.
