The ruling family of Bondeu, the Burrens, have been raising money in the capital of Zerburre. They have augmented their normal small retinue of guards with an additional 10 household guards for the long haul, and taken the experienced members of the city watch. Additionally, they have hired 2 dozen professional mercenaries. They have consolidated control of the Zerburre through additional appointments and bribes. Additionally, the Church of Light has been promised additional land and stewardships of villages and towns in exchange for a force of 6 acolytes and attendants to aid in morale and magical offenses.
TOTAL FORCES and Disposition:
The Sunbelt Merchants had their troubleshooters abscond with the treasury from the logging efforts – the PCs missed this in their efforts whiel trying to tie up loose ends in the town. Using this and their already acquired funds, they are hiring outside mercenaries. They have additionally opened an office in Zeburre and are coordinating with the Burren family.
TOTAL FORCES and Disposition:
The Council of Cerrans Grant (nominally controlled by the Twin Rivers Powers) is sending in a “border and trade protective force” to assist the Burren family. It consists of two force groups that are lead by ___ and about a dozen mercenaries each. Their job is to protect trade, but they are really pawns of the Burren family.
