Resilience

Resilience is an Item Property of Items that measures an item’s usefulness in being employed to absorb or deflect an attack. Most items have an incidental Resilience. When an item no longer has even its incidental Resilience, it typically loses its structural integrity and becomes Useless. Items built with more than incidental Resilience are intended to be actively employed to reduce damage in some way.

Upon regaining the “Hale” condition, those with Resilience Reservoir with regain all uses of it, though Armored Skin does not depend on it.

Incidental: Most hand-held humanoid Terra Norm items have an incidental Resilience of 1 – they can be used at least once to block some incoming blow.

Designed: Denoted as “X Resilience” where X is the number of measures beyond its incidental it has; 1 measure of Resilience can be used to reduce an outcome’s Measure of Success by 1.

Normally, only a single measure of Resilience may be employed at a time. Capabilities that change this will note the exception.
