History

Genet is the fifth son of minor nobility in Keoland. His 4 brothers and 2 sisters treated him always as a nussance, as he was always getting in the way. Still, being of noble decent did have advantages. A good sword school, learning to read and write, a study of the symbols of various rulers, and training in court etiquette. Ever since birth, trouble had a habit of finding him. In fact, it was this knack which caused him to flee from his native land of Saybalod. A certain young lady was involved, and needless to say, he bungled his rendevous and instead ran into her husband. After a fight, in which he wounded the courtier, he stole his necklace and fled the kingdom, taking the first boat out. The “winds of fate” was bound for northern Wolly Bay. He sailed into the city of Safeton on the Wild Coast. He fell in with the urchin’s guild in The Maze and spent 2 months developing tumbling skills in leaping from rooftops and thieving. He soon found the life of a skulking thief “un-colorful”, gauche, and drool. In the streets, and with the ladies is where he belonged. Once again, this over-powering drive cost him. He squandered away his remaining fortune in gaming and on women. Truly unfortunate was his last bet. While gaming with a stranger in The High King’s Delight, the stranger ran out of money and used the barmaid, who he claimed was his wife as a marker. When Genet won, and tried to take his prize, the town smith-the lady’s husband, tried to stop him. Genet drew his blade and the smith clubed Genet to unconciousness with a chair. He is currently serving 1 month in prison for assault on a citizen and illegal dueling.
