Bearing of the Magus
How a character bears themselves – the way they inherently think, act, and organize/develop their capabilities – can have a huge impact on both roleplaying and the mechanics of the game. These are reflected in the aptitude talents that they possess.
Optimal Requirements: (Always a Minimum Occult Aptitude 1) Depending on Pathway and/or Calling.
Measures of Bearing
Assuming a character meets the Optimal Requirements, they gain an option of three capabilities that reflect their depth of commitment to their outlook.

- Heightened Knowledge: +1 Known Formulae/Spell (of their Optimal Talent class)
- Preferred Spell: pick a Known Formulae/Spell and gain +1 Initiative
- Heightened Resistance: +1 save vs. any Formulae/Spell Known (in Reservoir)
As a free activity, the character can use 1 Mana (anima energy) to increase the resistance or initiative bonus, to a maximum = to their Occult Aptitude.
