Backgrounds (Cultural Specific)

A Cultural Specific Background experience is a very niche experience that is limited to a particular place and time, and often race and/or environment/Habitat. These generally prohibit any other universal Backgrounds from being taken at the time of Character Inception or other parts of Character Creation. Each Settings will have its own set of Cultural Specific Backgrounds that are unique to it. Cultural Specific Backgrounds may also be a setting specific Institutional Background.

CLOSED Cultural Backgrounds are those that are not open to characters that leave the culture – they are bound to the communities they serve with pride and safety and the ways and means of developing and persisting their benefits are culturally locked. Within the culture or subculture, it is generally frowned upon, those who open up the benefits and secrets to outsiders for any reason other than to save the community from destruction.
