The Smallfolk of Faerie

The Smallfolk of Faerie are the various pixie, sprite, sylph, undine and others that are not the full Faeybrin cousins the full Faerie Elves. They are much shorter in stature, but have many of the same common physical features of their larger cousins. The Smallfolk of Faerie are the original dwellers in the Aelfpaths after the Feywyld nexus was formed. The small folk of faerie live in Ellosarrs – a much like a Weald, but unique to their presence.

They are predominantly animists, but where they are not they rarely form formal religion, clergy or priesthood. They typically lack the ability for strong structure or heavy academic or even physical discipline. They enlist the plants and animals of the forest to their aid using Animist’s Touch of Nature.

Smallfolk Defenses

Vexations: Smallfolk of the faerie can invoke a Faerie Vexation using a Faerie Ring anchor; time means nothing to faerie, seems unconnected, but source of vexation can be seen in visions of flame, fog, and hallucinogens.

Beast & Plant Aid: The Faerie Smallfolk have the ability to enlist the plants and animals of the local habitat to their aid using Animist’s Touch of Nature. The Faerie Smallfolk are able to befriend them and guide them to attack enemies like normal sized animals. All the Faerie Smallfolk have Animist’s Touch of Nature. Some of the smallfolk are also Flora Bound, through this they are connected to their locale on a level the larger faerie races do not possess.

Smallfolk of Faerie Powers

While individually their powers can only target creatures of smaller stature as their own, they have an ability to forma community and pool their collective power. This allows any of them to bring about small bits of psychic type damage and inflict a type of curse upon large targets that effects confusion, nightmares, suggestions and charms.
