Aptitude Thematics
Aptitude Thematics grant Lesser Simple Boosts and other benefits of the same scale. They use the perspectives of Aptitude to cause an effect (spell, feature, power, etc.) to have its potency adjusted because of the association with the knowledge, skill, and/or insight gained from a particular pathway of development. The knowledge is tied to a related Mystic Reservoir, and requires Meditation to affix it and keep it fresh. The scope of the benefits will be defined in their source, and are often emblematic – with form following function. Low Sanity may disrupt the employment of thematic elements.
Learning: Actuating [acquiring] this Feature typically requires either a Primer or an Instructor (personal or Institutional) or must be unlocked through powerful Meditation. The Meditative elements that empower it are tied to the Good Standing status of Institutional members, and once a member leaves they cannot continue affixed them.Example Order of the Golden Calf

Potency Measurement: Total Damage, Spell Save DC, and Spell Attack to spells not of greater level than their Occult Aptitude without their orders’ Mystic Focus Point [emblem/symbol]. The positive adjustment cannot be greater than the Occult Aptitude of the practitioner.

> Increased potency on related Emblematic spells and powers: All ‘detect’ spells and spells affecting, conjuring, evincing, shaping, or damaging with ‘earth’ or ‘stone’. - Thematic Frailty: Fire [-3]
> Reduced potency on related Emblematic spells and powers: Any effect affecting, conjuring, evincing, shaping, or doing damage with ‘heat’, ‘flame’ or ‘fire’.
