Skelos – The Eternal Scholar is a figure of myth and legend that seems to span continuums and epochs in the iVerse. No world details this enigmatic figure other than to mention them anecdotally. They are a witness, and not part of a Principal Collectives. It may not even refer to a single entity, this is debated endlessly.
During the time of the Eon of Ancient Futures, Skelos wrote many tomes and scrolls to hold knowledge that was sought to be erased. Skelos was supported in that time by Divinities of Kemet.
Dreams fuel the stars of imagination and desire to transcend limits.
Nightmares create a sense of vulnerability to check the pride and arrogance.
It has great difficulty in holding its power for mystic formulae, and is not used for such due to its volatility and cost.
Diabolic Inks: Many evil and diabolical works try dark and thematic elements bordering on madness and the grotesque; All provide occult or divine insights to those who are willing to push the limits of the unknown and their understanding of what is reality. Many of these works, at least the partial ones, are inscribed with Skelosian Ink or something akin to it.
Legend: The Scrolls of Skelos, written with Skelosian Ink, serve their purpose (whatever that may be), but also act as decoys for agents of the Olde Ones – ancient powers seeking to plunge worlds into chaos and madness.
When a reader completes the reading of the file, tome or scroll, the source materials are consumed in a process that defies countering. No science or mystic methods has managed to persist the source materials as its benefits are gained – etched into the mind of the reader permanently. It is consumed and disintegrates in an initial hot burn, then disintegration.
