The Whistling Coast shoreline of Maldoolin of Loamwold. It is a fast moving tide of cold sea water being brought from the west along the Queens Coast of Umbak. It has rough sandy beaches and rocky inlets. Several creeks spill into the water of Scar Flow from the Badgers Back plateau, carrying the Red Run of the Hoolip Berries during the fall. It seem perfect for mooring boats, but the wind and waters are treacherous and storm prone. The coast gets its name from the “toys” the halflings of Loamwold build and place there, making all sorts of funny, creepy, and wild sounds when the swift wind blows. Greafears Maw can be seen rising out of the depths several hundred meters off the Whistling Coast – not claimed by the dwellers of Loamwold, in fact, actively avoided by them.
This is a point along the rocky coast that sticks out into the water a couple hundred meters, officially separating the area of the Hoolip Coast from the Whistling Coast. Down the rocky hillside from the plateau above grow creeper vines that look exactly like the White Lilies of Dwindor. Though different species, they bloom when the lilies of Dwindor do. They turn red in the Red Run of the Hoolip Berries in the fall.
