Geo-Location: Duchy of Dunstrand Dormu’s Peak, once a mountain in the Westmarch of Dunstrand, now sits only a couple thousand feet above the average water level in Scar Flow. At one point, the peak and adjacent ridgelines was the home of creatures of earth and mud, and giants that walked the earth. When The Sundering happened, and the plain on which Scar flow sank, many creatures died in the sinking. Many ancient settlements of ancient creatures were lost on the mountain, covering the area in near-completely collapsed ruins of large proportions. The central peak is still surrounded in a few low foothills, and a ridge that runs southeast from its base 100-150m above the typical waterline. It is rumored that something glints on the slope, luring treasure-seekers.
What You Notice From a Distance: (From a 2km Distance) The mountain seems like most others. There are no safe beaches of any kind, the shores are rocky and dangerous. Like everywhere else, random winds and tides cause the path of boats to twist and be pushed in directions they have no immediate control over. Sludge and debris patches are pushed around and caught by swift eddies, denoting the possibility of the debris holing a hull of unwary travelers. Low rumbles come from the north, where dark clouds ae pushed by swift winds. Lightning flashes, seeming to reach for the top of Dormu’s peak from a couple kilometers away. The entire picture is ominous, making you question the wisdom of exploring any further.

It is said that huge, cyclopean creatures guard an ancient treasure… but that’s said about every peak with old ruins in Scar Flow.
Glinting Lure: On some days – clear and mist-shrouded alike, there is a glint that can be seen. It is believed it is a magical lure, and people avoid it. Its always been there, but the treacherous winds and currents around the peak prevent exploration of it. It has been confirmed to be metal of some kind.
Lure of Death: Those trying to find the Glinting Lure have all vanished, or been driven back by the winds and current. Even magical means seem to blow those seeking to travel there via mystic means. This has lead to the quick death of powerful adventurers.
