Delleb is the Oeridian god of Reason, Intellect, and Study. His symbol is a phoenix-feather quill, or an open book. Delleb’s realm, the Great Library, is in Solania, the fourth of the Seven Heavens. Solania is a place with many scholarly hermitages and monasteries hidden atop high, steep peaks. Delleb’s original order on Oerth teaches that the purpose of existence is the accumulation of knowledge, although they are careful to remind others that this does not supersede the sanctity of life.
Delleb was the last god on Oerth. He gave the followers of Saemon the knowledge and some of his own Essence to open the gate and flee the dying planet Oerth. It is believed that he sacrificed himself to help hold off the Unholy Trio, though this is not true. In order to not be captured, and not allow the knowledge of the gate involved in The Crossing, he seemingly was destroyed in battle with Gloombringer. In truth, his Essence was driven to the world of Earth, through space and time to hide it from the Unholy Trio, re-manifesting as Odin in the iVerse continuum as part of the Eon of Ancient Futures, located on Earth in the Edge-Space of the Gohrmliht Imperium.
The origins of the Essence of of this divine being are shrouded in history before recorded time. Delleth is thought to be a proto-human, of a Higher Order through sheer self-will and achievement. Those who record such things mark its appearance as the god Delleb of Oerth. His material body was destroyed by the Unholy Trio of Oerth, and his Essence transported through space and time – given birth into the vessel that would become Odin. Once it was done with that age of gods, it once again moved himself through space and time, re-manifesting as Delleth, Guide to the Seekers (of the Steel Realms), in order to work with the Celestine entities of Egypt that had fled to Helca, and their plan to elevate its inhabitants.
