After Harvest Fair (festival)
The after-harvest celebration, or Late Harvest Fair, is a celebration of the second or late harvest and the turning of the season into fall. It is typically filled with acting troupes, entertainers, bards, and common folk gathering from all around. It also marks the end of the Lily Bloom in the Lilylands of Bar-Innis. As the weather is mild and light still prevalent, it has many outdoor activities unlike the The Waiting of Germaena festival.
In The Saelish, the late harvest fair honors the Celestial Isis.
Dates and Locations: Fall Equinox – Crestwold, Lilymarch, The Saelish, Lilylands
Festival Judges: Typically a selection of settlement senior officials and volunteers.
Festival Events
In addition to events, there is usually a pair of days devoted to real professional theater, with several small and a couple large stages set up for children and adults alike.
Dance: As the cold months set in and the days grow shorter, the sewing of heavy warm clothes and covers ramps up. A quilting contest is typically part of the festival.
