3rd Era Warlord Armaments

Steel Realms

Warlords third confederacy era armoring. This was typically a dark grey/charcoal tinted set of scale mail with a additional fitted breast torc covering the upper chest. Chased with silver and gilt gold, the torc was burnished but not reflective. The helm was open faced. It was customary to not carry a shield in such armor, and the weapon was either a long blade which could be wielded one or two handed, or a morning star. Only a few smiths in select schools of the northern areas – Dundaria, Rhyl, and Oerdney were commissioned to make these matching sets. Each of the helms would be bathed in some luminous source (the truth was never revealed) which would pull the memories of long dead knights and warriors in to guide the reach of the living wearer. Each was made for a specific person, though could be modified if passed on.

Once all the wearers were either dead or buried, or their armor had been sundered, every now and then heroic seekers may try and uncover the resting place of a suit. It is said the High Kings’ smithery of the Black Gorgon’s can adapt them to its heroic members.
