Nature Turned Coldly Violent
Traveling in the frozen lands of the north is perilous for those who do not know how to prepare and what to look for. Fighting in deep snow or on slippery ice puts one off balance, depending on conditions, with ice being difficult terrain and a hazard to completing actions. Survival skills can offset this. The deep snow (and even shallow) can often conceal a lurking dead creature – waiting months or years to surprise prey like a trap-door spider. The frozen forests and byways often conceal traps by locals for catching lone undead or Prowl Packs, which may ensnare the characters.
