Na’grindl the Green, Dragon of the Steel Realms

Steel Realms

In current times, Na’grindl the Green is known as “The Viridescent One”.

Vesicants Bloodline: She is one of three of the Dread of Vesicant‘s bloodline. She inherited her mother’s lust for material goods and adulation of their person. Her mother wanted material power. She wanted to control the destinies of many – a few dragons succumb to this lust for power and it causes them to not sleep. She made a leap to protecting her favored chosen people – the lizardfolk of the Pranin Moorswood.

History/Chronicle

During 7515 – The 3rd age of dragons
7825 = last of the anger, the last of the blood paroxysm

There was an angry battle between a child of Aproshol the Black of the N’dir clan and Na’grindl the Green of the Belw’n clan – daughter of her in the Dread of Vesicant. This was in the early days of The Heedful Call (the third awakening/Third Age of Dragons), it was only the young ones which were fighting each other. The black dragon was hunting the green, and the two began stirring up the worst creatures of Dwindor Swamp and mountains of Scar Flow to fight for them.

The existing cave system collapsed in the battle, and the wyrmling sealed in. Realizing she was too small to escape, she slept the dreamless sleep of more than a thousand winters – hibernating perfectly for roughly 1500 years. It has been awakened by the battle between the temples of Elancil and the Bronzemen. The ghosts of the Rime Soldiers have awoken Na’grindl of the House Belw’n. The settling of the stones over the years allowed for an escape. When she was first trapped, none of the animals would come near the collapsed cliff top. After so long, they were prevalent and assisted it in clearing the way over long months of effort. The real problem was that the dragon did not want to alert anyone, and so the process was slow. The dragon wants to avoid the fading to Hamazd.

Dunstrand Rising Living World CHRONICLE > Dunstrand Rising is a Living World campaign set in Grand Duchy of Dunstrand in the Steel Realms of the [Fantasy] Steel Realms Setting (planet of Helca).

Performs passive detect thoughts on Jesse and Jesse Just barely resists. It is a special subtle detect thought so that the DC is lower, but there is no sense of anyone even probing other than losing concentration for a moment.

She hardly thinks all of whats happening is fair. Especially since Elancil unleashed the apshai creature. She has been watching the creature charm people down at the docks of Torrelson’s Ford and interface with the goblins and confuse the Orrish of Dwindor and supply the needed elements to repair the space craft it because the {aboleth} can see into their brain how the basics of it are made. She thinks the best that it can do is to get an umbakian engineer and enslave them so that they can build the device to repair the ship. Bella doesn’t know its ultimate plans, but she does know that somebody has to stop the creature. She does not want technology unleashed on the planet Helca. That would not be good for her people, the few that remain there.

She’s going to have to intervene and take the engineer of umbak away from the creature. That person will have to be held against their will somewhere, and it will have to be The Gallants to do it, probably within the castle walls. The man in the iron mask sort of thing. Forges Feather’s signature for the helmet construction and sends a message to Alois. Uses the wrong ink but everything else is perfect. Dragon’s thoughts Echo along the aelf paths if they are not careful to keep them to themselves.

And yet she forgets this. The mothers in Illyndria knows everything of her plans. She is young and alone in her power without her elders to remind her of things and educate her.

She feels the rebirth of one of the lizard folk and its impending madness. She goes to see see what traumatic event precipitates. She observes and lets it go.

She decides to see Feather. She plans on shape-shifting into a human servant and using the secret knock they developed. The door viewport will not open but will gently open close and then open again with no one in the visible doorway. That is the sign that it is safe for her. She will do this as the day staff retires night staff comes on a point of maximum confusion. She tells her she will bring the Umbakian to her soon. Feather knows only this, not why. She manipulates Feather’s anger to lull her and makes it seem like her idea.

She meddled in the Hunting Mendollin – specifically The Viridescent One/Sea Interests. She got the Eye of Dimov.

2-22-9169 – The Convergence battle is successful and she has lost an eye. She is going to go to nest and be protected by her chosen people while this happens
But after she wakes up, she’s going to be angry. She does not lose composure, though ‘wants’ to. There are memories burned into her from seeing with the Eye of Ssissllenn. She is going to fly angrily.

In her frayed sanity state, she tries but fails to resist materialism like her mother; She has invested a lot into the local game, and does not want more players. She also loves the game, and feels like this is a test of her will and vision to stop another entity playing the long game. She ponders becoming the ‘Witch of Dwindor’ – Does this mean she can be persuaded to take the mentorship of the witch?
