Shadow Births of Yog Thul

The “Shadow Births” are the name given to the shadowed creatures that are Minions of Yog-Thul – the creatures controlled by the entity commonly known as Yog Thul. They flit at the edges of the vision of the sane they are sent to kill until their shadowy nature can be grasped and brought into more solid form. Shadow Births rely on deception and pure unfocussed force. The shades are reflections of the essence of followers. They are summoned by Followers through the Maw of Dissonance using rites and ritual spoken and written in Torquimat.

The alien tongue of tears at your sane thoughts as you focus to the looming portal of inky blackness. The portal disgorges freshly birthed shadows, bathed in a strange haze of odd angles and diffused light that quickly fades. The shadows attempt to merge with the world around them, flitting into dark places from which they may strike!

This causes the shadow to gain substance and shape – attackers can make a DC 11 Insight check – if they succeed, it reduces AC to 10 for the encounter & makes it vulnerable to Radiant damage from the insightful character.
