The Ruined Brightshard Golbie

Leftover anima has caused the animation of several pieces of vegetation, and is the real reason people keep away from here.

[ i ] > DC 20 Wisdom (Perception): Looking at the ruins will clearly show movement of the vegetation not connected to wind or environment.
[ i ] > DC 25 Wisdom (Perception): Yu notice the animals – birds, snakes, large spiders and centipedes… all seem to be looking at you.

Random Encounters

[ ] > There is a 1 on d4 chance of encountering an Awakened Tree when moving around the outside of the Golbie. It will be accompanied by a Bloodhawk looking to take advantage of an engaged party to strike. Characters knocked prone will be attacked by a Giant Centipede.

North Sun

At First > The north most piece is damaged more from the hill collapse than anything else. The stones are still straight where they stand. The roof long ago collapsed, but the outline of the walls is clearly visible.

Up Close > Up close, it is obvious that anything of value has been stripped. Anything organic long ago rotted away, and it is covered in millennia of overgrowth and accumulated dirt. Faint flecks of a golden yellow paint of some kind still cling to the inside wall.
[ ] > 3 awakened shrubs and a Swarm of Rats, 2 rounds after
[ i ] > DC 15 Investigation to notice an inset relief of a sun on the east wall inside. You estimate it would take only a few hours of digging to uncover something if you wanted to try.

South Moon

The southern chamber is crumbled in half. It is filled with long settled debris. It could take days to unearth and sift through it. This is easily the worst damaged piece of the fortification.
Digging through some of the overgrowth, you spot the top of a north facing arch leading into the larger center tower. There are faint marks on the inside; it was painted black, with faint white specks. Everything is buried under rubble and vegetation.

[ ] > 4 awakened shrubs, and a Swarm of Insects 1 round after
[ i ] > DC 15 Investigation to notice the old lightning scorch marks at the far southern wall on the outside, and that it was a night sky inside the painting. You estimate that it would take a day to dig safely here, searching for anything of value.

East Sky

At First > The broken topped eastern tower stands the most unbroken. There is heavy overgrowth covering the entire structure, but it’s an obvious outline of a nearly full 20’ tall square tower.
Up Close > There is no door at entry level after pulling some of the overgrowth away. On the outside of the east wall is a large statue.
There are no doors or windows, the function of this tower is very closed.
Inside > Looking inside, half the roof is still standing. The inside is a mess of dead vegetation under live. Any features are obscured.
