History

Lakota is a descendant of the Shyrnoc tribe, located deep in the nacrean lands. His tribe is incredibly reclusive, allowing little trade and communication with the surrounding territorys. Only the Quest Dancers are ever permitted to leave.
The tribe has found a diety in one of the ancinet celestials, but their power of faith is generated more by themselves than the celestial itself. The Shyrnoc have a high concentration of low magic ability that ties into their loyalty to the tribe. They use the combined efforts of groups in a ritualistic dance that causes great miracles and empowerments.
Their dancing circles can be used to heal the wounded, inspire the weak, and to defend the tribe when needed. A circle will be formed around the intended target, and the tribe will dance. Typically those dancing cannot be harmed by those within its confines, and the larger the circle grows the more they can accomplish. Typically a circle of 6 is enough to hold 10 others and greatly empower a 7th member who will fight the 10 invaders.
Lakota was on of those few born with the ability to not only participate in the dance, but to also control the flow of power. He was constantly selected to be the champion of the circle, and encouraged to improve the tribes rituals.
Lakota grew slightly prideful, resulting in a frustration at his less than average physical capabilitys. He strove to see more circles created to empower individuals, and not just for engaements but permanantly. His studys and efforts grew much more self orieented. His tribe grew impatient with him, and informed him that it was his time to join the tribe as a man. As is custom for the Quest Dancers, he was to leave tribe.
Lakotas quest into the outside world requires him to aquire a new addition to the Dance, something to add to the ritual that will serve the tribe as a whole. The knowledge can not be stolen or coerced, it must be freely given with an understanding of trust. As with all of the quests in the tribe, the quest dancers father place another unique restirction upon him. In Lakotas case, he is not permitted to inform anyone of his quest unless they directly ask him of it. His own honor is to be the deciding factor of what constitutes a direct question.

Lakota left, traveling northward, searching for nearly 2 years before heading east, into the lands of darkness. Unaware of the inhabitants he was set upon and enslaved. For 6 months now he has been captive and has had but one ally in his plaight, another slave named Beagel. The two have sworn that should one ever escape he will not leave without the other.
Recently they have been within an actual town within the darklands. Here Lakota has seen what he believes to be a vision from the spirits. Outside the walls is a glow, a bright transparent glow that carrys the same weaves as the known ruinic magic of his tribe. Unlike his own magics however, this glow is full of raw power, that which could be used by an individual and not just wihin the confines of a dance circle.
With this vision he knows that now is the time to leave. If he is ever to complete his quest, he must reach the light beyond the walls.
