Mannerisms: Always pessimistic. Mumbles a lot, always minimally ordered and presentable but constantly wiping his runny nose and burping (sounds of indigestion follow him).

Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Campaign: Duchy of Fhayl/CY spring 9166; GM = Duncan Huber
> He was studying to be a priest of Ikribu, but his drunken behavior and bad luck managed to get him kicked out of the order in Belisma in his first year as an acolyte. With no other way to go, he joined up with the high king’s army and spent 4 years in garrison duty doing nothing – he has little to zero practical fighting skill. His goal is to return to the priesthood, where he doesn’t really have to work (he thinks).

1) Do what you’re told by authority… If it’s bad, it’s their fault not yours.
2) Don’t rock the boat; Simple things for simple people – they key is expectation management
3) It’s better to look good than feel good. People remember you for how you look.
4) Just ignore most things and they will ignore you.
5) Keep people’s expectations low and it will keep stress and danger at bay.

Name: Goes by “rumbler”; people think because he’s tough – its really because his stomach rumbles loudly and he farts loudly (he can bear down and punch himself in the gut to do it at will); burps loud too.

Accident-Prone History: Jairo has always had bad luck and is accident prone. He’s lost his pinky on his right hand (a dare/bet), he’s been accidentally branded (backed into a pot of hot irons while drunk – multiple cattle brands on ass cheeks and right leg), tattooed while passed out (a fly on the end of his nose), and lost all his facial hair in a fire (it wont grow back). That was all before 16.

Scape the Goat

Jairo has a goat. A rather large one. Tough and ornery to others but softens with the offer of food. His name is scape. I will constantly turn to him and say “fucking scape!”, “you fucked this one up for me again.” “I can’t believe it – this is your fault.” “What the f*** is wrong with you?” All of his bad feelings and comments he could not make to people directly he heaps on the scapegoat. He buys the most expensive treats and heaps a ton of affection and good food on the goat when no one is looking. But if anybody harms, kills, annoys or gets his goat, he goes into a frenzy. A reckless frenzy as per barbarian [class] as bonus action. He buys a new one whenever his dies. Pretends like its the same one. Trains scapes to eat bag of coins as payment and follows them around as they shit.

Religious Fervor

Had a religious dream. Thinks he is seeing the future with ceremony and return to the priesthood (no); he takes all the money (60sc) we got from searching the farmstead to the priesthood of Ikribu in Belisma and says the gods will will be done and that they will see him again soon, he will assume his place in the priesthood assuredly. He takes the “sayings” book and starts spouting them to the party.

“One good deed is worth a thousand prayers.” = Meaning he should pray a thousand times!

“Excessive liberty and excessive servitude are equally dangerous, and produce nearly the same effect.” = Be bland, middling.

“One need not scale the heights of the heavens, nor travel along the highways of the world to find the light. With purity of mind and holiness of heart one can find Him in one’s own heart.” = Dont have to go far or do work, just quietly contemplate.

Preaches on street corners; scape holds a slop bucket for donations. = default side-hustle (checked to see if it was legal)… first time out got a 17 – obviously a sign from the gods – “this is the way!” Brosk Emporium shirt in the city and while preaching 1sc/week or part.
