Characters with Short Fuses take everything personally. They perceive attacks and sleights at the mildest of disagreements and prone to disproportional violence and anger as a reaction. They have little patience, often snapping and belittling or berating those they deem having let them down. This disparagement also tends to reflect in their own self-perception, making them seem to be highly self critical, though mostly it is an outward frustration and not true anxiety. Simple challenges of games can turn into a life and death account when the temper and frustration explode in a mundane situation. Arguments run the risk of becoming physical challenges.
A Short Fuse may stem from a behavior quirk, anxiety, biological imbalance, and/or social stigma. This stems from a Cultural Stigma or a specific social stigma and having to justify, defend or explain themselves at every turn just in order to be treated at the same baseline as everyone else.
