Portioned Occult Study

Portioned Occult Study is an occultist standardized practice of reviewing and synthesizing the knowledge they have been exposed to to increase their knowledge of a specific occult configuration (Formulae – spell, etc.), normal occult apportioned knowledge, etc.).

i20™ Portioned Occult Study Details

Magi Subject/Spell Research. The Occult Phenomenology must be a level equal to the highest level of the occult configuration being researched. Unlocking an existing occult configuration in research involves reproducing the basic form of the spell, then practicing the occult configuration until you understand the elements (envisioning, sounds, gestures, etc.) required, then scribe it into your spell book using your own notation. Membership in an institution/order/guild, possessing their own facilities, and/or having and deciphering a current record of the occult configuration typically lowers the appropriate requirement by half: (Cost Portion is by Setting the study is done in)

  • Environment: A suitable workplace where the study is safe, isolated, and secure. Typical cost to house this process is a Cost Portion per Long Rest Cycle or portion thereof.
  • Time: For each level of the occult configuration, the process takes 4 Short Rest Cycles.
  • Cost: For each level of the occult configuration, the process takes 2 Cost Portions.
  • If the particular tome is being tracked, no matter the method of acquiring it, the final version requires a number of pages equal to the occult configuration level.
