Elfin are one of the normal faerie races, they represent evolutionary dead end and anomaly where Faerie Folk/Kin are present. The Elfin have a stronger earth affinity than the normal one of air for most faerie folk. They often are able to summon and control powerful earth elementals in supplement the defenses of a few of the Faerie Smallfolk.
They stand the largest of the Faerie Smallfolk – about .5m tall. They are wiry, thin, and fast. There are many variations, typically a strain appearing locally.
Faeywyld Power: They are able to channel earth power through the Laey, creating pocket borderlands between their world and the Faeywyld. Time in these borderlands passes differently.
Reincarnate When Buried in their Earth: Elfin are rare, and near eternal – when they die, they reincarnate as one of the Smallfolk; They keep absorbing earth power, returning to their Elfin stature eventually.
