The Olani are one of the original surviving lines of humans in the iVerse. They are ancient and corrupt.
Light and darkness are both orders of law, the celestials are powers of chaos, but are tainted with law, having bowed to the lord (single) of law’s will in their own world to come here, giving up their own lives and coming to the nexus in time and space of the resting place of the world destroying Olani graveyard.
The Olani were some of the first-borns of the faelen. Their power grew and the lords of many spheres became fearful. They hid their power in the graveyard – and ancient place of family interment. They became obsessed with funerary rites and practices, with the graveyard becoming the seat of their power. They came to a planet called earth, and raised a mighty empire (rome) – subduing all of its neighbors – imposing their own law above the natural order’s and subduing the barbarian forces of their world. They began to re-make the planet over in their vision, defeating mortal and gods alike. In time they grew bored. When at last, they decided it was time to leave, the powers arrayed against them trapped them in their graveyard, which was moved from place to place, transporting the entire family. In a great battle, the powers of faelen gods (the one god in particular) cast down them, and the twelve enslaved wizards they had bound to their cause. Most went into torpor, but a few survived. The graveyard moved from one place in time to another. In each place the machinations of the family would extend out and influence the world they found themselves in… but it did not stay long, perhaps a few generations, before the The Olani Graveyard was once again transported elsewhere.
