After a player has their character concept created, they will move on to the actual creation of a Character. Regardless of what additional experience the GM may attribute to the character as it enters the campaign, they all go through a Moment of Inception. Character Inception is the point at which the character is created as if they were just starting out using the normal limitations of the setting and/or campaign. Hardened characters still have a moment of Inception. Additions granted by the Game Master or campaign come after the point of Inception (unless stipulated). Universally, initial stats for the character are generated at this time.Inception is part of a Character Chronicle. The character’s level 1 d20 Class; All Characters gain a optional Attribute Score Increase at the time of Character Inception.
Creating Experienced Characters: When making characters higher than level 1, benefits gained from @Character Inception all apply by default, but ultimately your Game Master may adjust these. Features that require a decision @Character Inception (like Committed Pathway, for example) can assume to be have been chosen at the start and the benefits gained.
