Salt Shore/Reedbed Territory
Salt Shore is named for the salt mine in the nearby hills, the Reedbed Territory also has several depressions along the coast serving as saltwater pools that drain and fill with the rain ‘tides’ and a small river delta and salty marsh east of the town. This is treacherous during the winter season, usually forcing travelers 5km inland to a safer crossing.
Reedbed City: Notably nothing much more than ruins. Its been sacked multiple times in its history. Over time, the limestone waterways under the coast have caused several collapses in the ruins, the entire area is considered dangerous. It is a haven for smugglers, brigands, and their ilk.
- There are three fortified settlements around the area, two steadings and an inn which serves as a way-point to travelers going east along the shore from Salt Shore.
Township of Saltmarch: This is an ancient and many times razed and rebuilt town on the edges of Lake Caolite.
- The small House Narcosa (Order of Magi) has been around for thousands of years. It is a fortified tower atop a granite 120′ x 70′ shelf that pushes 20′ above soil level.
