These are adventure materials intended for the Game Master in running the adventure. Players should NOT read these materials.
The Fallen Lightbringer Monastery of Ablocris adventure is a low challenge exploration the allows the group to explore the ruins of the Monastery of Ablocris and the surrounding lands that were sacked over a hundred years ago. Those who lay claim on the lands currently would like a definitive explanation of the strange things associated with it, and to make sure there are no squatters or unknown dangers before sending out a full force of re-settlement activities.
THE JOURNEY: Terrin Dubois fled the monastery as it was being stacked and tried to find refuge in one of the already razed settlements. He was hunted down, and hid the log book when he understood his Fate.
The Albocris Settlements Log Book is found in the ruins of Ablocris Ranch Farm Steading. It was buried under the the ruins of the main farmstead, and its metal casing helped to preserve it. It is in a lead covered box (to protect it from magic effects) that includes notes and a map with faerie ring marked.
The Umbakians are well known to keep meticulous records. The script is in perfect writing, symmetrical and uniform in all senses.
LANGUAGE: The Log Book is written in Umbakian Dundaran and may not be readable by most.
MAP: The rough location of the Faerie Ring inside the edge of the forest approx 5 miles away and the Albocris settlements?
INTRO: Terrin Dubois was the patriarch of the Dubois family at the Ablocris Ranch Farm Steading. He was chosen to be heading the effort to remove the offenses to order near the monastery – the faerie circle and Icen Churnidz the notorious Frost-Melded Icescape in the local area.
NOTE: Established an office of reclamation inside the monastery and were going to attempt something new to cleanse the Frost-Melded Icescapes spots – specifically the Icen Churnidz.
NOTE: Lightbringers vs Smallfolk – A tension/animosity between Faerie Smallfolk and the Lightbringers developed over the ages. Approx 2-3? miles into the forest (4 miles away?) is the faerie circle – it seemed to move. Seemed to be working against them.
NOTE: It may be that one of the Frost-Melded Icescapes patches can provide an anchor point or even a source of power for a Vexations. There was a spot of frost not ‘too far’ (seemed to be multiple references of unclear distance) from the faerie ring. Certainly the Faerie Smallfolk have found a way to use its power!
NOTE: Frost patch of Icen Churnidz was ‘attacked’. Lightbringers tried to drain it and pull power from it as a symbol of Feywyld power. It was impervious to any and all efforts.
NOTE: Lightrbringers want Faerie Smallfolk to leave and they in fact did attack them where they found them in the forest through the faerie ring. At first they left carved holy symbol shapes on trees and on the ground. They then began to leave actual holy symbols, then incursions of consecrated ground. Lastly they began to attack manifestations of the Faerie Smallfolk then the faerie ring itself.
– The dialect is distinctly Umbakian and there are nuances. There is a few pieces written in Orlecan as well.

We have discovered something the historians seemed to have missed about Icen Churnidz. We have FINALLY managed to have chipped away at the power encasing the whole thing and pulled out a corpse of both a Rhylian bannerman of the time and an Ork!
It appears that either the dragon killed all of them when they were battling each other, OR that the Orrish and Rhylian forces had combined to try and take down the dragon. We know not which, and I have sent away from the known history of the area and found nothing in there that even hints at this. Is it a cover-up? Simply glossed over? Purely unknown?
We (Elea) have tried to use the new Hymn of the Sun’s Rebirth in the old book that was found in the ruins of a caravan ambushed by bandits coming east towards us, overland. It worked once, but it is not working again. I am re-writing it and evaluating it for more nuances in the old tongue that I may have missed.
Not much more is to be gleaned, other than Elea was a priestess of Aerna, and kept her own journal with the specifics of her work from the Hymn of the New Sun on her person.
