The Blood of Saemon
The Blood of Saemon is the term given to the descendants of the refugees that crossed (see The Time of The Crossing) by means of a magical gateway into the world of Helca into a massive valley. They were greeted by not god or man, but by an entourage of Celestines of Helca. They told them the valley’s name was “Saemon” (which would one day soon be known forever after as The Valley of Sighs), and that it was a crossroads in the northern hemisphere of the world they were on. The portal would not close, and the Celestine sensed a great evil was following. These refugees were told the south was forbidden to them, and the northern hemisphere was theirs if they could settle it, but there were powerful dragons and other forces there. There was believed to be some deal struck, but with the arrival of The Unholy Trio and the events that followed, whatever this was, was broken.
The exact count of these refugees is unknown, but is in the multiple millions.
