Seabourne Isles of the Steel Realms (royal Gwinn)

The Seabourne Isles are an island chain and waters are claimed by the nation/Lords of Gwinn, under the auspices of the “revived empire” of Gwinn (descendant of the fallen Sea King Empire) which encompasses all the Seaborne Isles and Yvaldeysian Isles (Yvaldeysian) now. Famously, it is the only place where Cutfin Coral is found… a weapon heavily employed by the Gwinnish navy.

  • The Dream of Empire: Everyone (or nearly so) beleives that the “tides of fortune will change” and Elancil will return her favored folk’s power and reclaim the dream of the Sea-King Empire again (“An empire of Kings!”)… The ancient clans that represent part of the Green Council jockey for favor and position to lead this effort – often inhibiting each other more than moving it forward.

The forested areas have grown at an accelerated rate in different areas since around CY 8500 – believed to be part of the effects of The Odyssey of Elancil’s Wound. These have almost all been cut down again in service to the navy.

Culture

For the Gwinnish peoples of the isles, the ancient game of Rauket is one of their prized cultural traditions of Gwinn that they indulge in.
