THIS CHRONICLE IS RECORDED INTO THE ANNALS BY: As told to Jesse by Roger, of whom Todd Eshrin divulged all of it to; Travels of Todd Eshrin. and re-recorded in an archive in the secured reliquary of the Companion Library in Braddon Bog by Twitch, annalist of the Gallants and 2nd to Feather of the Gallants in castle Aqua Pluma.
The events of Killing Mendollin.
He is going to approach the lightbringer shrine in Torrelson’s Ford. He has been divinely inspired. 1-11-9169 he is told to travel to mev. There is more than a shrine there, there is a church. Not only that, but he should travel to fort Pavec where the umbakians can bless his cause to try and reclaim some of yaran’s vale because he has one of the sanctified vials of holy light left.
Behind the Scenes – 2-10-9169: The ‘release of the ravens’ – All the birds in Dunstrand take flight at the same time; after a couple days, its as if nothing happened. Todd and others are one of the many people who treat this as some sort of omen or sign that was targeted at them. This creates many strange rumors, prophecies, and cults springing up for a couple weeks. Todd Eshrin brought the vial of Hearthlight to the dame mother of the White Sisters who knew that he was special at that point. When he returns with the news of the vampires’s assistant, she will ask if he wishes to follow the ways of his mentor and be one of them. He will agree. He swears to the Amarata. Todd Eshrin lightbringer mercenary becomes a priest {cleric 1}.
After the Death of Mendollin
The Raiding Larks returned the ancient Hearthlight of Sir Roryin Lavinge to the church of Yaran’s Light, he came to believe he was destined for greatness. He volunteered to return to the family with the news of his death, and return his equipment. Along with his own minor Hearthlight, he was going to try and convince the Lavinge family to adopt him (through the Rites of the Amarata) and then return on a crusade to lay the spirits of the dead Umbakians in Yaran’s Vale to rest! He successfully persuaded Dame Mother, Helen d’Joiy to fund his efforts and write a letter of recommendation. With her plans to create the new “The Church of d’Joiy Whitetop” ruined (sabotaged the very public effort; no one knows it was the PCs! see “A New Light Shines Again”) she had been slowly funding the efforts of a smaller rebuilding of the near ruins into the church of Yaran’s Light. The outside is done and now there are guards. She writes the recommendation and says in a week’s time, she will tell the baron personally. Others have tried this, many have died. If they can succeed, and given the weak minded condition of the Baron, she may be able to grasp more political influence locally, even a favored spot next to the family! Opening up Yaran’s Vale for the Lightbringers (assuming some exclusive deal can be made) initially will build a larger base of followers for them, and give more taxes to the Baron.

He heads to Umbak. He is returning the items of sir roryin and his own – he had a vision! In a fevered dream, he sees himself buried in the cemetery in Torrelson’s Ford, a huge crowd, honored and remembered forever.
He actually talks his way through crossing at the border

persuades Sir Roryin’s family to adopt him and he will champion the cause of Light, returning to Torrelson’s Ford after a couple months of performing ceremonies and the adoption.

He is stopped by the Baron’s men and prevented from entering Torrelson’s Ford. He announces his new mission: To actively restore the cemetery and return the lands of Yarans Vale to the Light. They dont want trouble makers.
He barely persuades his way in, but he is marked by the Baron’s men. They will send word to the Lightbringers, and they in turn will ask him to go elsewhere. Right now, the Bank of the Silver Stacks is intent on getting paid back, and wants nothing to disturb that. The rumors fly about this in the church of Yaran’s Light. Todd, finding out his time is short and he is to be sent away, divulges it all to Roger in a night of drinking, in a moment of weakness.
End of June, 9169 – The Sound… this is used as some sort of superstitious cause to help get him out of town.
Todd is sent to the Earldom of Richfield
Roger divulges it all to Jesse, and then he is observed. Afterwards they send Roger away to County Dunstrand.
