Blu is a half-ork from Dwindor Swamp in Dunstrand. Atypical in size and from, he was set adrift and left to die. He was found by a priest of Darupet during the spring lily festival, roaming the swamp to make sure Lily-Seekers did not get lost. He returned him to the Beastwood in Bar-Innis where he was raised. His slight blue-grey skin tinge gave him his name. He proved much more adept than most of his Orkish blood, so he grew up strong and mostly ignorant of his heritage. To preserve his secret, he was moved further north each year, until he reached Karolak in his teens. By then, his cover story was secure, and his outward appearance had a story around it that explained much. It was told that he was one of the pine tribes, and that the blue dye they used had seeped into his skin in a horrible accident – a raid on his village. The Wyld faith had taken pity upon him and raised him, bringing him from the north and civilizing him. He is a follower of Darupet, his ‘fathers’ who raised him all were and he sees the god as the protective father figure. The Bardolt family of Rivermen owed the Wyld faith a debt for saving one of their clan, so Blu was adopted by them at the age of 13. He grew up the next 5 years in the Rivermen culture, becoming one of them. Upon his 18th birthday, he was told he could stay or leave – that their debt was fulfilled but he was welcome – he had grown strong and taken to the their people and they to him. Blue is currently seeking his path in life, putting his trust that the wind will blow, the river will flow and some sign will come his way, telling him what he must do. He returned to Bar-Innis to say his good-byes and was told there was a place for him as one of the faithful. He traveled east to the north tip of the Fahyl Forest, to an enclave there that was nursing Bennet back to health.
He spent 6 months with him, re-learning his speech. As he recovered his civil ways, they became inseparable friends. The servants of Darupet told them that they
had been bonded by higher powers – and that they were to look out for each other, always. Once Bennet was considered fully recovered, they had a ceremony to induct both him and Blu into the ranks of the faithful, and both had visions of their strnegth being as one. They were given a mission…

The party itself is essentially the police of the town, there is only a small militia, and they rely on the church to take care of anything other than common bar fights and thefts. The church uses the party to investigate murders and more severe crimes. The town took to calling the group ‘the voice of Gorgewoods dead’. Within the last couple months the church has decided to take that name further. They intend on the party being the Voice of the churches wrath. It is part of the fief of Earl Larner Ovorum. Festival of the bear… three days, three deaths. Up until now there has been very minor tasks, a couple murder investigations, and a leisurely life within the church. The party is bored as hell. They have been given some decent equipment, tabards of the church, and taken a vow to serve. They are being sent to the capital on an errand for their first task as ‘The Green Voices’.
BROTHER GREGUS: The contact for the group in the church. 4th out of 10 in church hierarchy.
