Haluk has a long history of rulership by the Ghault family. The Ferrentio family is second only to their power, though they only hold the title of Viscount. The Ferrentio family owns much of the farm lands roads and has a strong land and business owning presence in the Riverside Sector of the principality.
PLACES: way station for Long Strider Rangers
On the tip of north side of Veers Mound, where it slopes to ground level is Castle Ghault. It is smaller than North Gate Keep and protects the smallest gate, the east gate. It has 3 towers, all gleaming white and is fixed around the Drendak Court – the open bailey inside the gate.
This small keep is managed by Viscount Roland Baen.
This massive fortified tower is the bulwark of the eastern defense, and overlooks the entire city from the top of Veers Mound. The commander is viscount Jean Fontelle.
The eastern-most docks of Havluk. This is home to the barge center, which handles all the barge crafting and repair in the city.
Situation on the southwest corner of the defenses, fort Brinn watches over the incoming ships from the west, the west gate (largest of the 3) and protects the few warships of the city with its 8 ballista and marine contingent close to the First Quay. Command is shared always by a general in Umbaks army and Lord Commander Maremont – Knight of Balthazaar.
This is the smallest of the docks. It houses barges and military vessels for the city.
Largest of all and central to the trade along the river.
