Rogon Aelishan – a cousin of the Earl. He will tell them that ‘There are indeed new Crows in Dunstrand’. and that ‘Dunstrand will soon become too small a roost for such fine crows as yourselves’. He says he is ill and his time will soon be done. He lectures on the perils of a life adventuring and that one day they would either tire of or embrace being forced to make decisions that affect the lives of a great many people, and that he hopes they have the courage to stay on the path they set out on. He wishes that they some day return to the south, where the original Band of Crows was born – a ‘fitting return to the nest’. His old companion Ranik still lives in Beryl and he has written to him about them. Should they ever find their way there, they must look him up, but not involve him in any machinations or problems with the authorities. He will let them stay for a while, can get equipment and teach them the ways of the south. Rogon gives the party gifts – a few minor potions that work against poison.
