The Merchant Cites (North and South) are where the biggest “fashion houses” exist, though the capital of Gladnor – Oerdney – has its own fashion trends based on court and its position as a crossroads. The bards of the schools in the Heroes Hall are often the first to show new fashions from their sources there. The further northern reaches afford little attention to fashion over pure practicality.
Fashion in the Steel Realms can be applied to any culture, sub-culture, or group as part of their identification. For example, the “gentleman’s” code of dueling included specific fashion for the Duelist Doublet.
