Record: History and Tales of the Kingdom of Dundaria > Maw of the North
The “Maw of the North” was the term given for the mouth-like formation of the two mountain ranges – The Belnok to the east, and Tolkisson to the west. This symbolic element was used in heraldry and song, against the foes of the kingdom.
“The foes of Dundaria shall never see her golden fields if o’er the hills they go. Between the high mountain peaks of Tolkisson and Belnok they shall be chewed to pieces under avalanches and frozen forever in the biting wind and snow. May they be cursed forever in the Maw of the North – Ground into dust, no one will remember their names.”
The Mountain Stewards did their best to make sure the malediction lived up to its threat.
