d20 Base Feats – New and Changes

These rule changes are for the d20 System™ as represented in the Basic Rules presented in full as The ©Players Handbook.

     ONLY Applicable to the Incarna d20 Variant      

All feats should have a separate story in the background of the character – how was it acquired, who was involved (mentors, etc.), at what age of the character they gained it, etc.

Feat Changes

Alertness

There is no such thing as completely immune to surprise. The alert bonus applies to attempts to sneak up while asleep as if they were a light sleeper.

Martial Adept

In addition to the normal benefits of the Feat, the practitioner gains the following additional benefits:

  • The adept may use their Intelligence modifier as the ability modifier when any maneuver calls for a ability or skill check.
  • When fighting multiple hand-to-hand opponents, the Battle Master may use their Parry maneuver for others within their reach. This is used as a Reaction, Bonus Action, or normal Action – in that order as available.
  • When fighting multiple hand-to-hand opponents, the Battle Master may make an Intelligence (Lore: Military) check to allow one ally within reach of them use their Brace maneuver.

Incarna Feats

Inscriptionist

Inscription master is feat. Circles etc see what tower did. Hmmm. Glyph = you get it if you dont have it. Detect spells can be done as inscribe and visible color or sign of recognition. Illusory script. Magic circle. Teleport circle. “Master Circle” = last longer, stationary, cost = cost portion x 10
