Sacred Places of the Faiths of Law
Common Construction
Though age and attention will vary, those of law tend to follow the same meticulous rules and dimensions in their sacred structures. Almost all of them are constructed, not natural.
Common Features
- Stonework: Cut stone, perfectly aligned and fitted. Brickwork is all the same mold.
- Alignment: Always aligned with cardinal points.
- Artwork: Outlined, only done on proscribed areas facing specific directions by faith and sect. Limited color palette that is used in all shrines and temples.
- Light: All places are well lit at eye level. Long lasting candles and small lamps to minimize smoke are used in great numbers instead of larger braziers, big lamps and braziers. The light is uniform and moderately bright.
- Staff: Guards, priests, and attendants are meticulously groomed, all clothes are clean and no equipment has a blemish on it if it can be helped.
- Clean: Pilgrims, those with offerings, and those who can pay are offered clean sandals and linens, and a cleaning of the feet at the entrance to sites and/or holy places within them.
