Vision

Vision is one of the primary Senses. Also referred to as “sight”, it is based on an ability to receive and process light.

This normally refers to the “Visible” light of the electromagnetic optical spectrum. Most Humanoid (Faeybrin) is stereoscopic on the visible spectrum.

  • Ultraviolet (electromagnetic optical spectrum)
  • Infrared (electromagnetic optical spectrum)

Dark Vision

Darkvision is a generally humanoid adaptation that has a slightly larger eye and adapted lens (perhaps a clear nictating eyelid) to that enhances light reception at the cost of a washed out perception or color. Many animals that are designated Darkvision, in fact have a more natural Lowlight Vision adaptation. In dim light, a character possesses the noted range as if it were full light in shades of gray but with sharp features being diffused. The vision has no effect in absolute darkness.

Lowlight Vision

Lowlight vision is an adaptation that allows more light, though usually in a reduced chromatic range of the visual light part of the electromagnetic spectrum, to be seen. The vision has no effect in absolute darkness.
