Compulsion

[ Feature Impact ] > Negative

A compulsion is a deeply held belief or motivation which is so strong it overrides conscious control. It is internal, and may not have any obvious rational cause or source. It manifests as uncontrolled behavior that can place the character in peril physically or socially.

"But, it’s what my character would do!" - These types of character aspects are not an excuse to be disruptive to the point that it constantly endangers the safety of the group or the story continuity. Find creative ways to work through situations and do not manifest them to extreme levels of Behavior for your own amusement and to the detriment of the group.

Type: Behavior
Role-Play ++

This presents a good opportunity for adding Roleplaying elements to the Character.

The victim is fascinated by a particular object, place, person, circumstance, or event; to the point that they are compelled to promote the circumstances which place themselves to witness or act on it – even if their survival is imperiled by it. The compulsion may be resisted with a Sanity check. A character can automatically violate the compulsion in an encounter to achieve some end without making a resistance check, automatically suffering from Disorienting Anxiety (guilt, self-doubt, and shame) immediately afterwards.
