The initial approach of using character archetypes was, under Incarna Core (iCore™), that archetypes are generic in the Game System. This makes sense as Incarna was a full system and multiple settings. It also creates a significant difficulty in that each setting IS unique and should have flavor elements unique to it. It becomes even more difficult to work with that approach with i20™ because the foundation system is NOT Incarna owned. As such, all archetypes, pathways, and callings are going to be Setting Specific. The concepts and how they are designed will be Incarna specific and share common elements. The specifics will allow outside assignments (ex: © The Players Handbook 2014) to be implemented and assigned to specific builds and/or allow GMs to just accept them as they are and decide how to limit them themselves.
Conclusion/Summary: All the archetypes under (previously referenced as) Archetype Template (Classes) as a feature, have been moved under a sub page of Characters of the Steel Realms and reworked to be an expression of the Steel Realms as a Cultural expression of the setting. Each class build in the Steel Realms will also be reflected either in the grouping page or as part of the archetype page that is its i20™ expression.
