The Power of Conviction

Those of fulfilling divine purpose and providing for Followers and community are doing the Works of the Living. To this end, the undead are anathema to the living. They represent a break from the natural order and embody a thwarting of divine will. This transgression can be fixed by the “turning” of the undead and the semi undead nature of animated corpses. A Follower trained in the special Rite of Abeyance, with Conviction and channeling it through Connexion can hold targeted creature(s) in Abeyance.

Turn Back: The target(s) are either held in place or driven away as long as the faith of the Follower and their Holy Symbol are presented boldly during the Rite where the undead can perceive them.

Manifestation: The invoking of the divine power for this capability is always accompanied by an obvious manifestation for all around to see, though it will vary by deity/Principal and Follower.
