The Shrine is the smallest of the sacred and consecrated patches used for veneration and worship by Followers. Most of the time these have a small and stable set of Followers that are tending to the altar and mundane needs of a flock and the facility. In some cases, followers just come from the local community but do not have facilities to live at the location of the shrine.
The centerpiece of a shrine is the Altar. In smaller shrines, this is really a single room holding the altar. A Shrine can exist inside an even bigger Place of Faith, and have multiple altars.
