White limestone shines in the sun three stories tall on the south side of the dam, about 40m from it. Originally it was to house a protective force for the important dam – the citadel of upper Ubreac. Under it is a level of supplies, and a great shrine to the gods of Law where many would make pilgrimage to in order to chant, pray and send offerings to patron(s) of Law. The tower and its sub-constructs follow the common features of all sacred spaces of Law.
Sky Shrine: An open top portico was carved into the hillside next to it 300 years ago to provide easier access to the shrine that now serves as a popular gathering place for events. There is multiple small waterfalls and a few flickering [dying; electric – powered by the dam] lights of different colors.
Complex at the Tower of Wharking: The tower had sat abandoned for almost a full lunar cycle in fear of the collapsing dam. One of the progressive nobles of Ubreac managed to purchase a creature bound to a lam – a genie of sorts. It was set to work – plans drawn up and workers brought in. The shrine and area were ‘refreshed’ and a whole additional level set in to house the creature that would hold back the floodwaters for 500 years. That was 200 years ago.
