Order of the Black Gorgon
The Order of the Black Gorgon is a knightly order of the Steel Realms. Many of this famous order of knights – the High King’s personal order and bodyguards – rose to prominence in the Order of the Red Heart. Every Black Gorgons is personally knighted by the high King – even if they already be knighted by their own lord. The Black Gorgons come from all walks – nobles, commoners, adventurers, humans and non-human alike. They have demonstrated that they adhere to the highest ideals of the High King and the unity of the kingdom. They have many accolades, titles, and rank before becoming a Black Gorgon – and for most their fame is well known in their own region. They are attended by the Gorgonades – a cadre of trusted support staff specializing in intelligence, logistics, supplies, and management which ensures every member of the order has access to anything they may need no matter where they are.
